How should we look after the finished product?

On completion of each job, Craft Wales will coat the timber with an oil based product.

Thereafter, Craft Wales recommends that every Spring, the timbers are re-coated to extend their longevity and to help prevent cracking and splintering. This further reduces water penetration and helps in the prevention of algae growth thereby lessening the slipperiness of the timber. Craft Wales supplies a range of recommended oil based and pure oil products.

Please note, in order to uphold any warranty on a timber product supplied by Craft Wales, you will need to accept the yearly maintenance contract offered by Craft Wales Limited whereby the product is oiled to prevent water penetration and rot from the inside out.
